Services@ESL
Through my independent research lab, EarthSpace Labs - established in 2026 and incubated at DTU-IIF, we provide the following research services, supported by my team and collaborations with scientific experts and researchers worldwide.
EarthSpace Labs was created to bridge the gap between advanced science and societal needs. Our work spans my broader research expertise and interests in Earth and planetary sciences. Currently, we offer services aligned with my PhD research, focused on the prediction and forecasting of climate-related natural hazards particularly debris flows and landslides
MultihazardĀ Investigation & Mapping
We provide scientific investigation and modelling of landslide, debris flow, and debris flood hazards- evaluating susceptibility, runout inundation, and exposure for vulnerable hill slopes and surrounding downstream communities at risk. All investigative findings and simulations are delivered through technical reports and our proprietary DebriMaps dashboard.
We cover the full spectrum of hill-slope hazards, from slope failures and high-sediment debris flows to hyperconcentrated debris floods and mountain flash floods.

Multihazard Forecasting and Early Warning system
We are building dynamic forecasting frameworks that bridge satellite precipitation feeds (GPM), terrain physics, and local ground observations to forecast slope failures and debris flows before they strike. MEGH - a real-time landslide and debris flow early warning system with an administrative dashboard and web application. Currently under active deep research, development, and field-testing in Wayanad as part of my ongoing doctoral work.
Solutions for Disaster Risk Reduction and Resilience
Spatial Probability Prediction
We generate field-calibrated susceptibility maps for landslides and debris flows using high-resolution geospatial datasets and numerical terrain modeling. These models identify failure slopes and unmonitored high-altitude threat zones before extreme weather events occur.
Hyperlocal Exposure Mapping
We map vulnerable assets, residential areas, agriculture, and critical infrastructure directly along predicted runout and inundation paths. Delivered via DebriMaps, these outputs assist authorities with pre-disaster land-use planning, zoning, and targeted evacuation routing.
Real-Time Forecasting & Early Warning Systems
We are developing MEGH, a dynamic multi-hazard monitoring and early warning engine. MEGH fuses global satellite precipitation feeds (GPM), terrain physics, and local ground observations into an administrative dashboard for real-time hazard tracking.
