Initial Analysis of Nepal 2026 Debris Flow Multihazard

The real process chains can be deciphered only by detailed study, but initial Satellite data depict glacial material collapse/landslide of kms of length. Such huge slide cascaded to form ~ 74 km long debris flow.T

The impact stats are calculated using open osm and Google's population and building datasets. It might miss no. of tourists in the area. The flow boundary is created using Landsat 9 data. The valley is still vulnerable, as debris has blocked the few first/2nd order streams coming from Tibetan side at the top.
